Path-Measurement Routing

Your ISP Guesses.
We Measure.

The public internet picks routes by contract cost, not speed. Lagster times real packets across every path and sends yours down the fastest one. Continuously.

The Problem

Same Destination, Two Paths

Your packets don't take the fastest road. They take the cheapest one your ISP negotiated, and that's the gap we close.

The Method

Measure. Route. Hold.

Three jobs, running continuously, on hardware we own.

01

Measure Every Path

Every edge server probes every viable route to the game server, continuously. We don’t trust routing tables. We time real packets.

  • Latency, jitter & loss sampled live
  • Per-carrier path telemetry
  • Sub-second detection of congestion
02

Route On The Numbers

Your traffic enters the nearest of 200+ edges and rides our private backbone. Each packet takes the fastest path we measured milliseconds ago.

  • Per-packet path selection
  • Private fiber between PoPs
  • Direct peering at major IXPs
03

Hold It Steady

When a path degrades mid-match, we shift traffic to the next-best route before your game notices. No dropped packets, no reconnects.

  • Seamless mid-session rerouting
  • Jitter smoothing at the edge
  • Flat ping under network load

Straight Answers

You've seen 'gaming VPN' products promise magic. Here's exactly what we can and can't do.

Can you beat the speed of light?

No. If you live next to the game server on fiber, we can’t lower your ping much, because physics wins. What we fix is everything else: bad ISP routing, congested transit, and jitter. The further your traffic travels, the more we save.

Is this a VPN?

Same idea at the entrance, opposite goal. VPNs route for privacy and usually add latency. Lagster routes for speed on infrastructure we own, and it only touches game traffic. Your browsing never enters our network.

Will anti-cheat flag it?

No. Lagster works purely at the network layer. We never inject code, modify game files, or read game memory. To the game, you’re just a player with a suspiciously good connection.
